Megan Glancey - Government & Law
Megan Glancey is a Navy veteran and clean energy leader whose career bridges national security, climate policy, and renewable energy development. As Senior Renewable Development Manager at Steelhead, the North American development arm of Vestas, she oversees utility-scale wind, solar, and battery storage projects across multiple states. Her passion for energy transition was shaped by her military service and a deep interest in the connection between energy security, national security, and environmental stewardship.
Megan grew up in the El Paso borderland, before graduating from the United States Naval Academy, later deploying as an Electronic Warfare Officer in the EA-18 Growler jet community. She also served as a Signals Intelligence Policy Officer at the National Security Agency, and as a White House Military Social Aide to President Biden.
Megan holds a master's degree from Johns Hopkins University in Governmentand Political Communications, where her research focused on energy security and climate policy. Today, she combines her leadership experience ingovernment, defense, and renewable energy to advocate for veterans and working class families and growing the clean energy future of Texas. Her commitment to service, leadership, and building a more sustainable future reflects the values of both her El Paso roots and the communities she serves.
Javier Valdez - Nonprofit Leadership
Javier Valdez is a distinguished nonprofit and civic leader dedicated to strengthening communities across Texas. As CEO of the American Red Cross Central & South Texas Region, he leads staff and volunteers serving more than 9 million people across 83 counties. After a successful career spanning more than two decades in technology and corporate leadership, Javier transitioned his expertise to mission-driven service. His community leadership has included influential roles with Austin Community Foundation’s Hispanic Impact Fund, Communities in Schools of Central Texas, NAMI Central Texas, HealthStart Foundation, Breakthrough Central Texas, Con Mi MADRE, EGBI, and the Greater Austin Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. Through his commitment to service, collaboration, and community impact, Javier exemplifies how leadership can create opportunity and change lives.
Imelda Lewis - Education
Imelda Lewis is an educator and Certified Academic Language Therapist dedicated to helping children with dyslexia and other reading challenges become confident, successful learners. Through The Reading Cottage, which serves Pflugerville and surrounding communities, Imelda provides specialized, individualized literacy intervention for students and families. She holds a degree in Bilingual Education and has extensive experience as both a classroom teacher and reading interventionist. Her specialized training includes Basic Language Skills through the Rawson Saunders Institute and Esperanza, a dyslexia intervention program designed for Spanish-speaking students. Imelda’s compassionate, student-centered approach has helped children develop not only stronger literacy skills, but also the confidence to see themselves as capable learners
Steven González - Business
Steven González is Regional President and Head of Corporate Banking for PNC Bank in Austin, where he leads business development, client relationships, and philanthropic initiatives across the region. A graduate of The University of Texas at El Paso with a BBA in accounting and finance, Steven has built a career spanning more than 18 years in Austin’s financial industry. Beyond banking, he is deeply engaged in the civic and cultural life of Central Texas, serving organizations including Opportunity Austin, Austin Theatre Alliance, The Contemporary Austin, Austin PBS, the Health Alliance for Austin Musicians, and the Andy Roddick Foundation Leadership Council. His leadership reflects a commitment to both business growth and meaningful community investment.
Matt Muñoz - Arts & Entertainment
Matt Muñoz has built a career in music around a simple philosophy: “Be good to rock ’n’ roll and rock ’n’ roll will be good to you.” Born and raised in El Paso and a graduate of Bel Air High School, Matt moved to Austin in 1993 and went on to work across nearly every corner of the music industry. His career has included roles with Arista Latin, Warner Bros. Records, Universal Music Distribution, KUT/KUTX’s iconic Cactus Cafe, and the Long Center, working with artists ranging from Flaco Jiménez and Robert Earl Keen to Green Day and Joni Mitchell. Today, he serves as Label Director for Lonestar Rider, the label owned by artist Charley Crockett, continuing a lifelong commitment to artists, live music, and the industry he loves.
